At least that's true for the high-schools around these parts; it might be different for colleges. At any rate, the game takes place after a road trip for the team, so it's still a homecoming celebration, even if alumni aren't a big part of the goings-on. The old king and queen come home and, well, trying to explain it makes me realize it doesn't really make any sense at all. I think I'm going to move to Canada now.
