5QF - Oct 30th
Yippee! It's Friday! We've got a lot planned for this weekend and I'm kickin' it off Mama M's Five Question Friday style ;-)
1. What were you doing the last time you really had a good laugh?
I can't remember what it was that got me laughing that hard, but I do know it was with Ian. No one on this planet makes me laugh as hard as he does. He can even make me laugh when I'm angry. At him!
2. Who was your first CELEBRITY crush?
*Sigh* Shaun Cassidy *Sigh*
I used to play his records while I roller skated around in the basement and fantasized about being Mrs. Shaun Cassidy. He used to sing Take Good Care Of My Baby and I would cry every time. In the basement.
Yep...that turned into a bit of an over-share.
Moving on...
3. What is one talent that you wish you had?
I wish I was craftsy. Is that a word? If it wasn't before it is now. I wish I could sew curtains and aprons and knit and make little hair bows and do stuff with a glue gun.
I did sew a few baby blankets while I was expecting Jordan but that wasn't hard. I also once made my aunt some place mats and a matching table runner that turned out really nice.
I want to be a Macgiver Crafter. No.. I want to be an Oooohhh Ahhhhh Macguiver Crafter.
4. How often do you and your spouse go out w/o the kids? Is it frequent enough?
I would say once or twice a year and that's definitely not enough. It's difficult to find someone to watch all three of the children that I trust. Well, we have one babysitter who is such a sweet girl and I trust her completely, yet we still don't go out much. My mother watches the children for us if we have appointments or conflicting commitments and we are so grateful for that. Ian's parents have Sam and Julie up north to their place one or two weekends a year, and so my mom will watch Jordan for us and we'll go out for dinner and a movie together. Ideally we'd like to go out alone once a month.
5. What colour(s) is your bedroom?
I must say, I appreciate that Mama M spelled colour Canadian style ;-)
Our bedroom walls are as white as the day we moved in 11 years ago. Whiter actually, since Pino the Painter came and painted the house for us last summer. Our bedding and curtains and en suite are burgundy.
Happy Friday everyone!!
I roller skated in my basement too. I don't remember who I played on my tape recorder, but those are some sweet memories.
ReplyDeleteAnd I feel the same way about finding a baby-sitter.
Great answers to the 5 Questions.
Sigh...I hafta admit...the question was posed that way! Dagnabit...why do I always hafta be so honest?! Loved your answers...especially the trip down memory lane with you and David Cassidy (is that his name?)... ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! I remember Pino! LMAO!!!
ReplyDeleteI wish I was craftsy and could sew too. I might have to take a class!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your list. And colour too. :)
Blessings-
Amanda
So I had about twenty pictures of Fred Savage I cut out of some teeny-bopper magazine and I used to kiss them all good night before I went to bed EVERY NIGHT.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to meet you where you were at, with that overshare...
I've had a blast reading these! Ahh, our old celeb crushes. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I left a little something for you here, so swing by and pick that up, won't you?
