I think that I made my love for Beth Moore pretty clear in my last post, but in case you missed it...
I love me some Beth Moore!
I love her so much that I will be hosting an online Bible study in my BlogFrog Community that YOU are personally invited to take part in.
Yep, YOU!
We're going to be reading Beth's latest book called So Long Insecurity: You've Been A Bad Friend To Us.
I went to Chapters yesterday to purchase this book and just about cried when they told me that they hadn't been shipped any copies of this book from the publisher.
To any of their stores.
GASP!
But all was not lost, because Ian ordered it for me from Amazon.ca and he received a notification this evening that my book has shipped.
Already!
So excited.
If you would like to join in - which I truly hope you will - we will begin discussing Chapter 1 on Monday March 8th.
You don't have to have a blog to participate, but you will need to sign up for a BlogFrog profile. It's free and easy, and will give you access to all of the wonderful blogging communities.
I'm really looking forward to getting to know you more as we work our way through this book. I'm hoping to encourage you, and to be encouraged by you.
I'm in. I will be ordering my book from Amazon tonight. I love that now in addition to you being my BFF you can be my Bible Study Leader!!
ReplyDeleteYEAH!!
Amanda
I guess it is as good a place as any to start with one of her books, huh? I'll have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I would love to but I know right now my time is pretty tight. But what a great idea!
ReplyDeleteKate...what a wonderful idea! Fabulous...I'm not sure that I'll actively participate (I have a hard time reading books that don't involve a heavy dose of romance or humor...but I'll read your community stuff!!)
ReplyDeleteI saw this book on the list of new releases our warehouse has available for stock in our church bookstore. I was just thinking to myself (well not now, but a few days ago I was thinking it)that I should order it for stock. Now I may stock it and have to buy myself a copy too.
ReplyDeleteI've never actually read a Beth Moore book but if you're doing a study on it online it might be fun to try. No promises at the moment because we're just headed into baseball/softball season and this week will be extremely busy if it doesn't rain as there is a practice scheduled everyday this week for one or the other of my children. But I'll try to remember and give it a go.
Don't you just love how long-winded I can be sometimes :)
I did Beth's Fruit of the Spirit study a few years ago with some women from my church. It was fabulous, and I'm SUPER excited to get to do this one with you guys! (And be JUST what I need to get me through these last few weeks of tax season!)
ReplyDeleteCount me in...my book will be here this week. :o)
ReplyDeleteKate, you are definitely tempting me. I wonder if the book is available in audio. I have such a hard time staying with non-fiction these days. I'm not committing, but I am really tempted.
ReplyDelete:)
How cool...what a great idea Kate!!
ReplyDeleteSorry, I'm comment-happy this morning. I will have to pick this book up sometime - it seems awesome. I would join you, but my plate is full! But hey, if you are ever in need of another good read, I'm in a study now on the book called "White as Snow" by Paul Tripp - SOOOOOOO good and bonus: an easy read! Highly recommend it!
