Haha! Well, I guess its not so funny. Collin has done this once, with shoes on(!), and I immediately pulled him out of his chair and sat him on the floor then said no feet on the table pretty sternly. Parent of the year? Probably not, but I had to think quick, and of course he's only just over a year and a half, so having a conversation about it wasn't really a possibility.
Jack did that the other day! I was horrified! I have ho idea what to do - luckily for us it was just a one-time (I hope) deal... I'm absolutely no good, huh? We have "listening" problems ourselves and I'm idea'ed out....
My girls have each tried that once. Their dinner was over and they had to leave the table.
I won't stand for bad table manners -- no elbows on the table, no reaching across (they must ask for things to be passed) and no toys come to the table. There are more rules but I'm sure you get the point.
But what have you tried so far so that we know what not to suggest?
LOL this is too cute! I have no suggestions but I do have a funny story dealing with table manners. As a child my [now] hubby kept farting at the table. Solution..his mom made him eat his meal on the toilet...LOL! Can you imagine that?!
I have a suggestion that is guaranteed to work. Every time she puts a foot on the table, chop it off.... I GUARANTEE she won't disobey more than twice. (Please note the above comment is meant only in jest and is not a reflection of the views of the management.)
Well, you could take that fork of hers and poke her cute little chubby toes with it!? I'm totally kidding, you touch one hair on those adorable feet and I swear I will be in Canada in 2 seconds! :)
Good luck Mama, when you figure it out let the rest of us know, k? ;)
