Sad

I am feeling rather sad and frustrated at the moment.

I received an email this morning from a woman who I have long considered to be a close friend. She said some really mean things to me and basically accused me of being a bad friend and not making time for her.

I seem to be getting this more and more lately.

In the last month alone I've had about 4-5 of my friends tell me that I don't make enough time for them. What's up with that?

I can't just go traipsing off to visit with people whenever I feel like it, no matter how much I may want to. I have a family and responsibilities to consider, yet these people don't seem to care about that. They are guilt tripping me and I don't know what to do about it.

I don't know. I have friends that seem to be able to do it all and I feel like a failure in comparison.

Just feel so sad about that today.

  1. I really don't understand how people can be treating you like this. Do they not understand that there is only one of you? You have three children to take care of after all!

I am so sad that you are being treated like this. Obviously these people do not remember what it's like to have a baby at home.

    Honestly!

Kate - you can only do what you can do. The most important people in your life are your family. Friends come second. You can't be everything to everyone and this DOES NOT make you a failure.

You are truly the kindest and most caring friend I have ever had, and I don't need to see you face to face for you to be this to me. Your quick "how are you" text messages brighten up my day!

Friends will come and go, but family is for life.

    HUGS

  2. I'm sorry that people are saying things like that to you! As far as I'm concerned, a good friend wouldn't say something like that to you...they'd be more considerate and take into account what is going on in YOUR life. Friendship is a two way street.

I may not "know" you, but I feel I know enough about you to say that you are a good-hearted, caring person. You take wonderful care of your family and have a great love for God. And I don't think you have it in you to be a bad friend.

I'll be thinking of you and praying for you.

    Hugs!

  3. I've been there.

People who don't have young ones at home forget how difficult it is to squeeze everything in.

HUGS. The important ones will understand.
