I cannot imagine the depth of love that God has for us, that He would give His only child so that we would have everlasting life.
The willingness of Jesus to give His life for us is something I cannot comprehend.
Did you know, that even if it was just for you, He would still give His life for you?
He loved you so much that He would rather die for you than live without you!
Amazing.

I love that being a mother and knowing that I would give my life for any one of my children instantly makes me feel like I can at least partially understand His love for us. That's wicked cool - both in that the bond between a mother and child is so Godly in its perfection and in that we as mothers are uniquely able to be that much closer to Him through our shared connection.
But that He would do the same for a stranger is amazing and I seek to even partially come close to His grace and embody that spirit of loving my neighbors. It's a lofty goal, but I owe Him at least my attempt.
