I am an underwear folder. I always have been and likely always will be. Mine, Ian's, the children's. I like to see neatly folded stacks of clean underwear, even if they continue to live in the laundry basket.
I thought everyone did this.
Imagine my surprise after reading several blogs and discovering that this was not a common practice. Many people just shoved them into their drawers, not caring that they will be wearing wrinkly underwear.
Wrinkly. Underwear.
Shudder.
So I put up a poll for you all to vote as to whether or not you fold your underwear. And the results are in.

ReplyDeletenot anymore. I used to wear PJ's all the time, travelling, shopping, to school, to restaraunts, anywhere and everywhere cuz-it was comfy and I didn't care.
ReplyDeleteNow, I will wear sweats in public but not any kind of pj-looking pants. and I NEVER wear whatever comfy pants I may wear all day to bed again that night. blech! ...ok so sometimes I wear pj pants when I am going on a long trip or something but I am usually in yoga pants or sweats not actual pj's.

What do you mean with "in public"? If I go out, definitely no, if I receive an unexpected guest, of course.

We I HATE jeans of every type. I either live in dress pants, skirts or sweats. Right this very moment I am in sweats, a T-shirt and baseball cap. ( which I LOVE TO WEAR )

Yay to the "I don't fold my underwear" club!!! I never fold mine-but I do fold my children's and husbands. Funny.
ReplyDeleteI am a folder, thank you very much! PJ's in public? I wear satin pj's - button down tops with satin pants - very pretty, but not for anywhere but inside! Pair those with my LAMOS slippers, and I am comfy cozy, ready to spend the evening with my honey in front of a good DVD and a warm blanket!

ReplyDeleteThere was a time when I was a teen that I never folded my underwear or matched my socks. But now I have realized they fit into the drawer much easier so I have returned to my mom's ways which were much better than mine:)

Also, I would never wear my PJs in public, and thank you for coming to check if I'm still alive! ReplyDeleteI usually just lay them flat and stack them, in a rush I shove them and when I have the urge to organize I fold them.
ReplyDeleteBut they dont wrinkle? I never remember putting on a pair of shoved in the drawer panties and thinking wow these are wrinkly!!
Oh and the jammie thing- mine are not appropriate for the public to see ;) Just kidding!! But no I don't wear mine out in public!

ReplyDeleteHa! I never fold my own undies but I do fold my husband and my daughters...his just fit better in the drawer if they're folded and well, Cocoa Puff's panties look SO cute folded :)
ReplyDeleteAs for the jammies in public question....NOPE. I would NEVER where my jammies in public. Partly because I don't think it's appropriate and partly because Cap'N Crunch would have a fit....he really can't stand it...don't let him see someone in jammies AND slippers out. It doesn't bother me so much, but he just gets his panties, ahem, I mean undies in a bunch when he sees that.
