Ha ha on you, Sunday...because this is a long weekend. HA!

Being that it's Sunday, it's time for Keely's Getting To Know You blog hop. Rather than post my questions, I'm doing it vlog-style.

Disclaimer: I don't know what I was looking at while I was talking. I thought I was looking in the right place but now I'm not so sure. Rest assured that when/if you and I get to talk for real, I will look you in the eye like a normal person.

1. How many piercings do you have?

Two - one in each ear. I am not a fan of multiple piercings. A lot of them are quite gross if you ask me. Nothing like talking to someone with a ring in their nose or in their eyebrow.

2. I love the sound of.....?

Laughter. Hearing my children laugh warms my heart. Hearing others laugh makes me laugh too. I don't even need to know what's so funny - it's just great to see people laughing.

3. Favorite city?

I love Toronto - so exciting. A close second would be Vancouver, British Columbia

4. Colts, Saints, or could care less?

Are these basketball teams?

Just kidding. I know they're football teams. I'm not a fan of football so I guess I would fall into the "couldn't care less" category.

5. Frozen yogurt or ice cream?

Ice cream!

6. Favorite appetizer?

I like the Crab, Parmesan & Spinach Dip from The Keg.

7. What item in your closet currently makes you the happiest?

My luggage. It reminds me that someday I'm going to get to take a vacation :-)

8.Favorite facial moisturizer?

Meh. I'm a Vaseline Intensive Care kinda gal. Very low key. I should find something that is going to miraculously reverse my wrinkles...

Getting To Know You (Me?) ~ Jan 31

Wow. Sunday rolled around pretty fast, if i do say so myself. Yesterday was a glorious "me" day... Two and half hours at the hair salon being pampered and beautified, followed by a visit with my mom and sister, then lots of reading and relaxing. I felt so rejuvenated.

Today will be filled with laundry and housework. But first... a little Getting To Know You fun, hosted by Keely at Mannland5!

1. Do you iron your sheets?

Umm...do people really do this? For real? Not in this house. I can't imagine how long that would take. And then they would get wrinkled the first time they were laid on. Nope. I can think of much better ways to waste my time thankyouverymuch.

2. Your dream car is....?

I'm going to be honest here...I love my mini-van. Love.It. Especially the DVD player, which ensures fuss-free errand running. It fits the three kids and horse-dog quite well.

A mini-van...it's what the coolest moms drive.

3. Do you have an innie or an outie belly button?

It's an innie.

4. What meal do you look forward to the most..breakfast, lunch, or dinner?

Dinner. I love sitting down together and talking about our days. It's always so great to reconnect after our time apart.

Although, breakfast is a close second. I am completely in love with Raisin Bran and I look forward to it every morning.

5. Favorite mascara?

Cover Girl. It does the job.

6. What would you say your decorating style is..traditional, modern, eclectic, country, french country, shabby chic, etc..?

Is Fisher Price a decorating style? Because we totally rock that.

I'm also a fan of country and shabby chic.

7. Have you ever been skinny dipping?

Not yet.

8. I hate the smell of...?

Dog poop. Seriously...that smell just about knocks me over.

I also don't like the smell of curry, bacon, smoke or wet dog.

Sunday Funday ~ Jan 10

My body hurts so much this morning that no amount of whining or complaining could properly convey just how much pain I am in.

Either I am doing these exercises wrong and that's why everything hurts, or I'm doing them right and that's why everything hurts.

Neither here nor there: everything hurts.

Enough about that because today is Keely from Mannland5's Getting To Know You blog hop!

Today's questions are...

1. If you were stranded on a deserted island and could pick one person to be stranded with you, who would you pick? Family members not included.

I would pick a world famous survivalist so that I wouldn't die. He/she would prepare a shelter for me and make sure I didn't starve to death. He/she would also pack a gun in case there were any Others on the island that wanted to get me. He/she would also be a great conversationalist who appreciated my need for quiet mornings and periods of quiet time during the day.

2. Do you read celebrity gossip?

Yes I do. I probably should be embarrassed by that but I'm not. I think I know more about the lives of famous people than I do about my own neighbours. I don't know why I find it so addictive because 90% of celebrities annoy me. I read People and US Magazine online. I do not read Perez Hilton ever because he disgusts me in ways that would be inappropriate for me to say out loud.

3. Favorite show you're watching this season?

The Biggest Loser, hands down. Of course, that will may be bumped when the last season of Lost begins next month.

4. How tall are you?

5'9"

5. What was the last book you read?

It was The Christmas Dog which I read last month and reviewed here. I didn't like it that much. I've been asked to review a few more books this month so let's hope they're better!

6. Flats or heels?

I live in my sneakers and occasionally will wear flats if I'm going to church or out for dinner. I love wearing heels because I love to dress up and feel feminine, but being a stay at home mom, there aren't that many reasons to dress up.

7. If you had to choose one natural disaster to go through, what would you choose..Earthquake, Tornado, or Hurricane?

I would choose a hurricane. They can be predicted and I would have a chance to move to higher ground or just plain get out of the way.

8. Thong, panties, or (gasp) granny panties?

I'm just going to say it, I don't understand the purpose of a thong for daily wear. I get why they'd be appropriate in ... ahem...certain situations, but I can't imagine wearing them to garden or grocery shop. I like a little more fabric in my panties, thank you very much.

Sunday Funday ~ Jan 3

I'm feeling exceptionally sleepy this morning and haven't been able to concentrate on the blog post I'm working on, so thank Heavens for Keely from Mannland5's Sunday Funday blog hop!



Each Sunday Miss Keely asks some getting to know you questions so that our readers and fellow bloggers can learn more about one another.

Today's questions are:

1. Where were you born?

Ontario, Canada

2. Toilet paper..do you crinkle/crumple or fold it?

I fold it, then fan it because I don't want anything getting on me, if you catch my drift.

That sounds like a bit of an over share there. Sorry.

3. What was the last movie you saw in the theater?

Paranormal Activity. It wasn't phenomenal but it had some good suspense and a fairly acceptable pop-out factor. Slow in places though.

4. What room to you spend the most time in besides your bedroom?

Our living room. We are always in here.

5. Would you be grossed out if you found out your husband/boyfriend/significant other hadn't brushed their teeth for 4 days and you had been snogging (kissing) them?

Ew. Um...yes.

6. Do you fold your underwear?

Yep. Each pair must be folded exactly the same, forming a neat stack. I do not like crinkly wrinkly underwear. It's just wrong. What if I got into a car accident and had to be taken to the hospital? With crinkly underwear? GASP!

7. What is one goal you would like to achieve this year?

I'd like to learn who I am and what I like to do. I find myself trying so many things in an effort to be like others, that now I'm not quite sure what it is that I like to do. That's kind of what the blog post I'm working on is about. More to come on that.

8. What is your favorite month/least favorite month?

I love January and September because they have such a new beginning feel to them. I'm not so much a "month" person as I am a "season" person. I love Fall the best, then Spring, then Summer. I don't like winter at all.
